| About Me: | Like the name says...my kids describe me as a kinda Hippie Bikerchick. I have my motorcycle license but wimped out and sold my 1200 XL Sport before I was comfortable riding. I love going to biker rallies and poker runs, and taking nice long day rides in between.Redo! After looking over my profile I realized that all it looks like I enjoy doing is riding Harley Davidsons!! This is true but there is sooo much more to me than that. After a little time single I realized that I do believe there is someone out there. There is sooo much to do and I'm a little tired of being a third wheel or going it alone. So here's a little about me... I am an avid reader, always have a book underway. A few of my favorite authors are John Grisham,James Patterson and Dean Koontz. My taste in movies runs along the same lines, except for my guilty pleasure... watching the new animated kids flicks, which I do in the privacy of my home since I have no grandkids to use a a beard...yet. I have three grown sons, all of whom I am very proud of. My youngest is serving in the Coast Guard, my middle guy is a personal trainer and a professional MMA fighter..yes I do go to his fights or watch him on PPV, and my eldest works wonders with a spray gun. I have a degree in visual art and design and work as a floral designer in a local Mom n Pop type florist and greenhouse. My hobbies fall in that vein. I like painting...on anything, photography..I never leave home without a camera. I have started a total redo of my garden this year with the addition of 30-40 new perennials..lost count and usually try to have some fresh flowers in the house. I originally grew up on the north shore of Long Island and was raised as a self-proclaimed yacht club brat. This means I know my way around a sailboat and spent most of my youth on or in the water. I can honestly say that being near the beach is what I miss the most about living here in PA. Before moving here in 1996 I lived in Woodstock New York. My kids always describe me as a sort of hippie-biker chick. I still own tye-dye shirts from the 70's and was happy to see flares at the bottom of pants again. I know how to and enjoy cooking, I was in the restaurant biz for 25 years and picked up alot along the way. For my birthday this year my kids got me a kick butt BBQ...charcoal, otherwise you might as well cook it in the kitchen! I like taking day trips and long weekends out of town such as Camping in the mountains( I insist on an aerobed and shower facilities)or a nice hotel on the beach. Travel when I can...There is sooo much I'd like to see!I live in such a small town there really isn't much to do here. There's more...I'm a bit of a caretaker which I chalk up to empty nest syndrome and am generous to a fault.I will go on any ride at the amusement park and have a bucket list with skydiving being at the top.
